Arn and Norma started BASICS in 1995 to connect inner-city needs to suburban resources. Through many ministry avenues, God has moved the church to minister effectively through BASICS.

For Wisdom, Understanding and Discernment in responding to:

• Calls from City and Government Leaders asking Pastors to help them solve community problems without talking about Jesus. Many requests from Ministry Leaders in need of resources to fulfill their callings to bring the "Good News" to their neighbors.Individuals and families broken by physical and spiritual poverty needing help to make good decisions and live according to God's commands.
• Christians wanting to use their Time, Talents, Treasures, Touch and Tears to "Show and Tell" God's love to our neighbors in the city.
